“The police have tracked Devesh's transaction history. He traveled to a city abroad on February 3rd, where he bought a monthly ov pass a day later,” Bapat's friend Marco Brunacci tells us.  

After these transactions, Bapat switched to cash payments, Brunacci continued, leaving it unclear exactly where he is currently. “This seems like it was a very intentional trip and while we don’t know where he is, we are now less concerned that he is lost or that he could be in danger,” Brunacci says with some relief. 

Police 

A spokesman for the East Brabant police indicated that it is not yet clear whether Bapat left on his own or if something happened to him. The police are pursuing all lines of investigation. “But so far that has not yet led to finding the missing person,” said the spokesman, who did not share any further details about the investigation.
