The ranking is divided into two categories: broad universities and other universities. Since TU/e is a specialized university with only technical studies, it falls under the second category. TU/e and Maastricht University both scored 61.5 points and therefore shared bronze.
The winners in this category also had to share the honorary metal. Open University and Wageningen University both ended with 68.5 points. The University of Twente came in second place with 63 points.
In the broad universities category, Utrecht finished on top with 65 points, followed by Radboud University (61.5 points) and the University of Groningen (59 points).
Method
The editors of the Keuzegids based this edition on the opinions of more than 268 thousand students who completed the National Student Survey this spring. They gave points for the content of their courses, their teachers, the testing, the atmosphere and the way they were prepared for their careers. In addition, how many students advance to the second year and whether they graduate within four years also weighed in.
