Intro 2024 | Liveblog: Intro day 4
Intro 2024, day 4. After a long night with a pub crawl through the city, the new students start on campus together today. In the afternoon they can do all kinds of activities organized by the study and student associations. In this liveblog, the reporters of Cursor break all the news.
Short Films in De Zwarte Doos
Besides partying, students can also enjoy short films at The Black Box until eight in the evening. Liza Gloudemans of Studium Generale: “It's still quiet now, but I expect it to get a lot busier later. It was the same last year!”
All films are animated. Among others, Atomic Chicken, Mr. Hublot and Our Love is Immortal will pass by.

Activities on campus
Many different activities had been prepared for the intro attendees today, but the number of participants looked a bit meager. Some of them stayed in town for parties of student associations, others were probably too hangover for a vigorous sports session. Students could try out all sorts of things: from kayaking in the Dommel River, skating in the Market Hall to painting hats on the Koeveld. In between, there was also plenty of room at picnic tables to get to know each other better.

Internationalization mapped out
About 30 percent of the students at TU/e are non-Dutch. Of the enrollment, more than 50 percent are international. During the intro week, students could pin where they come from on the world map at Cursor. Curious what that looks like? Check it out here!

Joint start of day 4 on the Flux Field
On the fourth day of intro week, students gather on the Flux Field. At least, some of them. At the start of kickoff, the field still looks somewhat empty. Could last night's pub crawl have something to do with that?
The students were given an athletic warm-up and the winners of the Campus Quest were announced, but they were not present. Still, there was nothing to show for the low turnout. Everyone had energy for three. Soon students will be able to participate in various activities organized by the university's associations.
