The former Applied Physics student left on his bicycle from Eindhoven on August 17 and was reported missing afterwards. A passerby saw the body lying in the water, whereupon a police diving team retrieved the deceased man from the water. The forensic service then started an investigation. This revealed that there was no crime.

The university is talking to his friends, who are still studying here, and looking into getting psychological help for them.
