Laughing, relaxing and partying during Stukafest
Laughing at stand-up comedy acts, learning street-dance skills, enjoying a concert lying down, debating or dancing to ‘energetic pop music’: students in Eindhoven had a wide variety of options to choose from during this year’s edition of student room festival Stukafest. Our video reporter Mathias Verheijden saw three acts and visited the afterparty in café Altstadt.
Several students are lying down in a room in the Bloemfonteinstraat, listening to soothing sounds in a state of complete relaxation. Quite in contrast with the atmosphere in eleven other rooms across town where visitors were treated to comedy, music and theatre. The ‘literary peepshow’ was cancelled at the last minute, but comedians Pauly Russell and Zuva Martens stepped in and made the evening a success in the end.
Serge Gruson, one of the students in charge of the organization, is satisfied with this year’s edition of the festival. “Most of the rooms were full and the response was very positive.”
