Intro 2019 | Beyond battle fatigue #video
Suffering from battle fatique but with a smile in the sun, that is how we can best describe the Intro 2019. The build-up was slow, with some awkward moments. And after the first long nights of partying, the end was already near. But this Friday afternoon there was one last party together - counting on everyone’s last bits of energy.
The warming up with the ‘Hakaman’ does not really start off too well this Friday morning. He talks a lot, probably too much for most of the intro kids present, and only a few finally surrender to the demonstrated tribal moves. Of those who actually made it to the Flux field at this time, most of them safely stay in the back.
Bontgenoten, De Klittenband, Rave van Fortuin and Puinhoop Kollektiv are the acts that are supposed to help the intro kids to get up - and stay up - for the very last hours. And they succeed. Those who do not want to dance for a while, rest on the edges of the Flux field against the fences, cool down (voluntarily or not) in the huge inflatable pool or on the water slide, or go for a reawakening at the Crazy Dance. Others now really want to call it a week, grab their weekend bag and other things together and trudge towards their room, station or dad's car parked a little further away.
As if the morning will never come
It's all fine. They may have started their week so expectantly; in the meantime all expectations have been released and everyone enjoys the afternoon, the sun, the music, the drinks and the company in their own way. Rave van Fortuin treats the audience with ‘Leef’ by famous Dutch singer André Hazes around half past two in the afternoon. "Live as if it's your last day. Live as if the morning will never come."
And his wish was your command. How? You can see that below in our recap video of today, the fifth and last one of this week. If you missed any of the previous chapters, you can find them here.
