Intro 2018 | A powernap a.s.a.p.
Not having to do anything, except finding a spot to nap. That was the case at the workshop Powernapping & Storytelling and that opportunity was seized fully by the intro kids. Those who laid down, closed their eyes and tried to listen to the introductory stories of the TINT foundation. But they probably didn’t hear much of what was said.
Everyone did very well at the Powernapping workshop, but there was no stopping Pieter Drabbe (future BMT'er and ESC member). He slept and slept and slept. While he could have listened to four pretty stories. A firm physical push woke him up. Lifecoach Margit van Tuijl encouraged the rest of the nine participants to become active again, which worked out well.
From the notes of your awake reporter:
-Smell: sweaty feet (you get used to it after about three minutes).
-Atmosphere: dusky with a strip of bright sunlight.
-Sound: women’s voices reading and light snoring (from a man). Plus a seagull that asks for attention.
-Feeling: hard floor with a thin fleece blanket (but we imagine that it is warm fine sand, on a beach).
The participants have no regrets that they have registered for this. "I want to do all four workshops here", says the one and "excellent preparation for Tricky Thursday", mentions another. Victor de Haas (student Chemical Engineering) is there because he loves sleeping very much and it has not happened much this week so far.
Oh yes, for those who missed it: TINT is an organization that focuses on culture and personal development of students and often organizes events with the aim of meeting each other.
