Bar crawl prelude to Plugged Festival
Nearly six hundred students took part yesterday in the traditional bar crawl organized each spring by Protagoras, the study association of Biomedical Engineering. After eight drinks, the participants could party on at Plugged Festival, the music festival held each year by CHEOPS. Besides students, two stages, a bar, food tents, and a couple of party tents providing shelter from the rain filled the KOE field.
At nine drinks venues belonging to TU/e study associations, 580 students were received for the bar crawl. Co-organizer Jesper Schouren of ProZac, Protagoras’s Zinderende (Thrilling) Activities Committee, is pleased. “It was a fun, relaxed afternoon and everything went well.” In confirmation of his last point, TU/e security reports having observed no incidents.
From 4.30 p.m. onwards, the KOE field was alive with music from eight bands and DJ Cerious. CHEOPS was holding the Plugged Festival for the fifth time, and for this lustrum edition the organizers had set up two stages.
