Once you arrive in Winnipeg it will surprise you what the city has to offer: cheap limousines, ridiculously expensive keg’s of beer, terrible wine, a beautiful Human Rights Museum and, some say the best, others say the worst coffee of Canada: dozens of Tim Hortons.
Winnipeg is in the south of Manitoba, the province that gets so cold that: Jet- and rocket engines are tested here, people use a drive-thru to get cash, the entire university is accessible by tunnels, the sport center has 2 indoor tracks and you can ice-skate on the river in the winter: yes, -50°C is not uncommon here.
Canada is the land of nature and wildlife. Banff and Jasper National Parcs are absolutely amazing. The Indian Summer, which is coming to an end now, is gorgeous and we have seen lots of wild animals like bears, moose, raccoons and beavers.
The University of Manitoba and the Asper Business School in particular arrange lots of events in order for their students to interact. Where in the Netherlands Thursday is the most common night to go out, in Canada Wednesdays are the night to hit the dancefloor. Why? Beers are only 2$ instead of 5$...
What is the biggest difference between the TU/e and the University of Manitoba? Do the test!
1. Has one of your professors ever given you a lift home from the supermarket?
2. Is one of your professors a former PRO-Wrestler?
3. Is one of your professors a bodybuilding champion?
4. Is one of your professors seeing an adult movie star?
5. Has one of your professors ever invited the entire class to have drinks at the end of the semester?
