Wanted: smart ideas for TU/e Contest
An opportunity to develop a genius idea with the help from regional businesses, that’s what TU/e wants to offer its students with the TU/e Contest. This year sees the second edition of the competition. Active recruiting starts next week, and the finals are scheduled for May 17.
Dean of the Bachelor College Lex Lemmens has initiated the contest: “We’re challenging TU/e students to further develop their innovative idea, business plan, prototype or research project within the TU/e Contest network. We’ve found many partners willing to act as coaches and jury members for our students.”
TU/e students and PhD candidates have until March 31 to enter their ideas at www.tuecontest.nl. The networking round starts on March 2 and includes an official ceremony in the Blauwe Zaal, set up in collaboration with the Career Events Foundation.
Around April 11, the organization will announce the best 40 entries, the geniuses behind which will then be invited to the training and workshop days on April 21 and 26 in Zwarte Doos. Twelve coaches from several Brainport region businesses and organizations will be advising and helping shape the students’ plans. They will also be the ones to select 20 candidates to compete in the finals on May 17. Winners will receive prizes to kick start their innovation.
