The Master’s students recently started their studies in Applied Physics, Computer Science Engineering, Embedded Systems, Human Technology Interaction, Industrial and Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Software Science.

The companies will award at least 18 grants, although this number may be increased. The top sector grants are worth 5000 euros a year; a total of 10,000 euros per student for the two-year TU/e Master’s program. The grants will allow companies to build ties with the students, helping to reduce the shortage of science and technology graduates.

The participating companies are Philips, ASML, NXP, Omron, FEI, Isaac and Enter. The grants are the result of the Technology Pact and the government agreement with the top sectors. This means companies will provide a total of 1000 grants for excellent Dutch and international science and technology students. Some of the grants also come from the established Amandus H. Lundqvist Scholarships for TU/e Master’s students from high-tech companies.
