Staff and students feel safe at TU/e
According to a survey that was conducted last fall, 98 percent of staff and students feel safe at TU/e. Communication, lighting and aftercare still leave room for improvement. The 2,981 people who filled out the survey do offer ideas for improvement. For example, many students – especially internationals – don’t know where to report incidents.
Internal Affairs will therefore be prioritizing the improvement of communication. The department will also be meeting with Real Estate Management to discuss where campus lighting could be improved, an issue mentioned by several respondents. A plan of action concerning bicycle parking will be presented soon as well, and Internal Affairs wants to advance aftercare after incidents. The results of the survey will be discussed at the University Council meeting first, on February 17. After that, the exact results will be made public.
