This year’s theme is ‘Insider Trading’. “Attending the Career Events allows for ‘insider trading’ regarding your professional career”, explains Jiayi Zeng of the organization.
Traditionally, the Career Events consist of three events taking place within a six-month time frame. The expo start with the Training Days (starting November 18): a week of workshops aimed at the job application process, and personal growth. This year the Training Days include a specifically internationally oriented program as well, including workshops for Dutch students about working abroad, and workshops for foreign students about finding a job here.
On February 25, the Auditorium and Hoofdgebouw will present the Career Expo, where students can meet over one hundred potential employers. This year for the first time the gangway between the two buildings will be used for small businesses to present themselves.
The closing event is the Interview Days, which start April 28. According to the organization is the perfect opportunity to continue initial chats struck up with employers at the career Expo.
The Career Events are an initiative of the TU/e study associations, except for CHEOPS, which has its own Built Environment Career Event.
