Aarts mentioned he has great plans for his department. “I’m extremely pleased with the wide range of competencies and the high quality of its faculty. With all this knowledge, the skills, and our unique position within the Brainport Region Eindhoven, we’re headed for a great future. With synergy, strength, and quick acting I want to ensure my department can enjoy each and every opportunity that comes with our position to the fullest. Top priorities include expanding our bachelor program, our graduate school influx, the broadening of scientific excellence, and cooperating with the Brainport Region.  I trust a strengthening of internal cooperation will result in our department’s realization of these goals as well as an inspirational workplace for all staff members.”
