Bringing in votes for the elections

‘Although our positions are similar, our approaches differ’, say both the Eindhoven Student Council and Groep-één. But for both parties it’s most important that people go out and vote. There’s plenty of campaigning going on, on campus as well as online. Students can cast their votes today or tomorrow, choosing a party and candidate. The results will be announced on Thursday.

Both parties have internationalization on their agendas, and both have international students on their list of candidates.

Six seats for Groep-één, three for ESR

Groep-één has won six seats at the elections – the Eindhoven Student Council (ESR) has three. This means the distribution of seats has not changed. Turnout among students was 41.93%, which is slightly lower than last year (47.6%). Of staff and faculty members, 41.53% cast their vote.

Fourteen hopefuls Faculty Group University Council

TU/e faculty has an actual say next week: this year there are more candidates than there are positions in the University Council Faculty Group (PUR). The list has fourteen names, six of which are new. The Faculty Group has nine seats in the University Council. Currently, not all nine are taken.
