Getting acquainted with sixteen cultures
At the international event Connect with my Culture, students and staff of sixteen different nationalities will be presenting their home countries. Connect with my Culture will be held at MetaForum this Thursday from 3PM. Visitors will be invited at stands to get to know the countries and to try some of their national dishes. The event will be graced with several performances as well.
Indian Bollywood dancers, Greek sirtaki, angklung music, and the Indonesian Saman dance – these are just a few of the performances that visitors can enjoy this Thursday. Apart from sixteen countries, two organization will be presenting themselves as well: in the Common Room stand, visitors can get to know Cosmos, the recently established international association of TU/e, and the network of partners of international TU/e faculty also has their own spot.
Last year, Connect with my Culture was an instant hit, and Vertigo was packed. So packed, in fact, that security had to prevent more people from entering Vertigo. Since MetaForum is much larger, problems like those of last year can probably be avoided.
